In your opinion, what should a gathering of Christ followers look like? What is essential? What could be left out?
I am trying to get ideas of what other people hold dear. I am trying to get ideas for the new quest. Share!!

worshipping god with songs is essentail in my opinion along with prayer. that's all i got sorry, it's not much.

I agree, music is essential for me too. I allows me to connect in a way that I wouldn't otherwise. Music brings me to a place I need to be-a humbled worshiper.
What about the surroundings? Do they matter? What setting would be ideal?
I'm not sure about surroundings because i'm not sure what/where you are looking at. I think that if it's quite and you can focus on what needs to be focused on then, it can wherever.i'm sorry i really don't know about those things.

well i've taken a few days off and i don't want you to be discouraged so i will break my silence. i'm (still off tomorrow) but hey...
keep the conversation going. why don't we ask Joey M. and just start a group on a night and love on each other and love Jesus in the process. eat togehter. commune. worship. pray. read a chapter of the bible for the week before if you like (pick a book) and share life! Just do it! it doesn't have to be all de-mystified does it?? show up ask God to come and wait to see what happens!
I agree. I have been talking to people and basically the consensus is that people just want to enjoy the company of others. I think it should be a time of worship with music, a short ten minute bible study (maybe), and then a meal. Something laid back, relaxed, and open. I was thinking maybe only twice a month...

Thanks for finally posting Joe! I agree. Thats what I miss the most. I miss the people and hanging out and sharing life.
