Crazy Beautiful

There is a song with these two words in it, "crazy beautiful". I really feel that is my life right now. Crazy busy, but filled with undeniable beauty. Being a parent has brought feelings that I have never experienced before, and feelings that I really think one wouldn't ever relate to unless they were a parent. A person may feel these things to some degree, but never with the intensity that parenthood brings.

Never have I loved a person so much. This crazy, bonding, protective, proud, worrisome love. I have never been so proud when a sound was made or a laugh produced or a step taken on wobbly legs. Never have I been so frantic when an ear won't heal, or a head smacks furniture, or a high fever won't break. Never have I been so excited for a wet sloppy kiss or a cuddle or a high five. Never have I been so content with hanging out as a family or cuddling on a minature couch just the three of us.

I am so blessed to be living this crazy beautiful life that God has given me.

AHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I am so sick of whatever is happening within my body. A couple months ago I came down with a very sudden, alarmingly high fever. It was bronchitis. Now, I have been sick for going on three weeks. We were all ill, locked away in the house. Until we had to take Carson to the ER for a high fever, and problems breathing. He had croup, an ear infection, and PINK EYE. There starts my nightmare.

I woke up with the same pink colored eye that Carson had on Thursday. I used some of his drops that day. Friday, I woke up with one completely swollen eyelid. Back to the dr. He found that not only did I also have pink eye, but my throat was really swollen, and my glands enlarged. I got a new antibiotic and eye drops.

I had big plans for St Patricks weekend. We were doing the pub crawl in town with friends, it would be a fun adult night. That all changed when I woke up with TWO swollen eyes, swollen face, and swollen neck on Saturday morning. Another emergency call to the dr who put me on steriods to clear up the swelling.

Today is Monday, here I sit at work. Red-eyed, drippy-eyed, and uncomfortable. So this afternoon, I have YET another dr appointment. Pray for me, I need it bad!! Here goes another appointment.

First Birthday Party

The big day came and went. We had a blast at his crayon themed birthday party. There were around 60 people that came, and 12 kids there. They colored, blew bubbles, played skiball, and ate cake that dyed their mouths lots of bright colors. It was a long, but fun day. Carson passed out once we got in the car. It was fun to hang out with all our friends and have Carson play with his!
